Fundraising
The Kensington Health Centre was originally built with funding from the Kensington Foundation. The Foundation continues to fund the addition of new Kensington charities, including the Kensington Eye Institute (opened in 2006), the Kensington Screening Clinic (opened in 2009) and the Kensington Hospice Home (now under construction for opening in October 2010) and with grants to local community health and social service projects which foster safe and healthy communities and promote individual independence and well-being.
