Long-Term Care Facility Rates
Kensington's rates are established annually by Ontario Ministry
of Health. Rates are the same for all Long-Term Care facilities
in Ontario. They are based on adjustments in the payment entitlements
of Old Age Security(OAS), Guaranteed Income Supplement(GIS) and
Guaranteed Annual Income Supplement(GAINS).
Basic Accommodation (Ministry Rate Reduction available)
Rooms accommodate 1 resident with a shared washroom.
Semi-Private Accommodation (Ministry Rate Reduction Not Available)
Rooms are occupied by one person with a shared washroom and
preferred placement and view in the facility.
Private Accommodation (Ministry Rate Reduction Not Available)
Rooms accommodate one resident and have a private washroom
with upgraded room amenities and preferred placement and view
in the facility.

*The daily rate is charged for a partial month. The monthly rate
is charged for a full month, regardless of number of days in a month.
**A resident choosing basic accommodation who cannot afford the
full monthly rate can apply for a Ministry rate reduction by providing
the last "Notice of Assessment" and Kensington will conduct
an income test to determine the appropriate rate.
