Volunteering
We depend on volunteers for help with a wide range of services
that are offered at Kensington Gardens. Our volunteers give
freely of themselves for the greater good of all our clients.
Without them, we could not operate as smoothly or seamlessly.
Becoming a volunteer means many things:
- You care about people and want to help them
- You care about your community and the role your neighboring
long term care facility plays within it
- You are concerned about the well being of the elderly.
Our resident's quality of life is greatly enhanced when
volunteers are involved in their life and connections to
the community are maintained.
The benefits of volunteering are many:
- Helping Residents
- Making A Difference
- Gaining work experience
- Feeling good about yourself
- Developing new interests and talents
- Making new friends
- Social events
Our volunteers can assist in the following areas:
- Life Enhancement Programs
- Café
- Mobile Library Service
- General Store
- Palliative Care
- Pastoral Services
- Fundraising
- Friendly Visiting
- Dining Assistance
If you enjoy helping people, have a few extra hours to spare,
like to meet new and interesting people, and want to be part
of your community, then volunteering at Kensington Gardens
may be the place for you!
